Another update in the lives of the Johnson's! Haven turned 2 on the 11th of July! Mommy and Daddy bought him a swing set for the backyard...it took ALL morning to put it together! But was well worth the wait according to Haven =)

He had a wonderful party at Chuck-E's... though maybe not as much fun as Daddy!
He was definitely blessed with lots of fun toys. And when I say fun I mean noisy!
Haven is getting to be such a little man. He has a beautiful smile, when he chooses to share it, and he has a personality that shines!

With age he has even learned how to ride his tricycle! He is definitely a safe driver.

The kids visited from Iowa in July and we all had a marvelous time. We did all sorts of fun stuff...
We celebrated the 4th of July....
We went fishing,

There was Garden Of the Gods
And Cheyenne Mtn Zoo too!

Haven went on his first camp trip that included a boating trip with Uncle Ed, Aunt Becca, Samuel, and his friend

and lots of fun with Cousin Isaac!

There was tons to celebrate in August! Like Birthdays
Grampy's!
and Grammy's!
Then we celebrated with Jasmine at her Bridal Shower! We had a marvelous time at Biaggios Italian food was scrumptuous!

ALL the family was here to celebrate her big day.
The Grandma's, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and all the loved ones came from all over the US and St. Thomas too.

Thats right lil J is now married! To Austin Lewis. It was a beautiful ceremony at Peterson AFB and a lovely reception followed at The Cheyenne Mtn. Resort.

There was much fun to be had....Especially by Daddy who finally let loose and enjoyed his little sister's wedding...in his Jordan's!

Daddy had also gone to Chicago in August and broke his nose...this was the corrective surgery that he had to get in September....I didn't even recognized my own hubby! His best friend TJ, more like a brother, came to visit from Texas with his wife Sharonda and we had fun spending time with them. We are soooo grown up now! Then of couse we celebrated Mommy's 28th birthday at Chili's it was a great day....

Our happiest and most exciting news....Baby Johnson #2 is due to arrive May 15, 2010! We are so excited and Haven definitely can't wait to be a big brother! =)

A lot has happened in the Johnson household! Mommy has been so busy at work, that updates have become obsolete. Almost an entire year since my last one, and boy has it been an eventful year! Well lets go back....

Christmas was an amazing time of year...we are still in our beautiful home and we were blessed to be able to spend time with family! Not only one side but both sets of parents live in town so all were joyously seen.Haven was a proud member of the "Baby Dedication" at church, basically saying that our church family, and immediate family, alongside Myron and I, will help to rear him in the ways and paths of God!

Haven has grown in leaps in bounds! He is so much like his daddy, but totally a momma's boy.

He has had quite a few 1st's this past year...

First time eating ribs was a joy to daddy's heart!

Successfully accomplished and mastered the stairs...with an occasional set back...or two.
Learned how to conserve energy...

No more bottles, "big boi" cups now...

Brush his own "bunnies"

And wants "baf" everyday. We recently adjust his crib into a big boy bed, so he is more independent.
He loves to help mommy with many a task...
Especially when it comes to home cookin...I mean eating...
And he has learned many new exciting things...
The delightful entertainment of the Wii
The satisfaction of reading

The aptitude for multi-tasking
And how to simply enjoy a sunny day! A lots been happening with daddy too...He got a long contract job where he was able to get his TS reinstated. So the opportunities for better jobs are light in the tunnel now. This wonderful job progress even allowed mommy to stay at home, and start back to school. Working towards my Masters in Education has been a blessing, as it has really helped me to focus on my goals. In February I was able to accept a long term sub job at King elementary! I worked with 5th and 6th grade reading and math. I enjoyed the experience but prefer staying at home with my honeys.

How time flies!

There have been some amazing and wonderful things happening in the life of the Johnson's.

1st of all we are thankful that Daddy is doing better after having to get 4 stitches in his head. (Lets just say bad judgement after getting off work and being a little too excited!)

2nd Mommy went back to school! That's right mommy is getting her Masters in Education! After several years of substituting I found that I really love being with students, and want to make a difference in their young lives. So I started my first class in August, and it is done now passed with flying colors! Woo hoo!

Haven is a growing boy!

He eats yummies all by himself!

He has teeth that need brushing, and

is a full time bundle of joy!

Oh and he is a forward-facing driver now! (heehee)

Yikes, between being a full time mommy, cleanning house, doing laundry, substituting part time, and home-schooling Isaac (preschool) Mommy is super duper busy and tired!

And last but not least, Haven has arrived! He is now an official walking toddler! He started taking multiple steps unassisted this morning Sept. 7, 2008. I just can't believe how much he is growing. I love him so much and he is mommy's lil man ! I know he has to grow up, I just don't know if mommy can handle it.

And all the family is doing well too. Momma J (Nana) is still working on her associates degree, and Daddy J (Grandpa) is doing great too. Jasmine and Austin are wonderful too!

Grammy and Grampy are great too. My mom is still preparing for her MS 150 (miles) next month (bicycling). She s doing amazing and I am so proud of her! My dad is still supportive as ever, just wants the best for his family and does all he can to make sure we have what we need. Lori still needs prayer for her health, and family, so all and any prayer for her is welcome. And Granny too. She is preparing for another Birthday! Woohoo, what a woman!

I'll try to do more updating more often but there you go have a great God blessed day!

Mommy and Grammy made cole slaw, potato salad, bbq beans, jello and so much more. The best part was the cake... Auntie Elaine made from scratch the most amazing monkey cake! Haven had no complaints! There was eating, and playing and Haven was blessed with wonderful gifts But best of all...there was family!

And I'm not so sure there will be a lot of sleeping going on for awhile!

Also cousin Ryan graduated from Widefield High School class of 2008! Go cousin Ryan! We just fininshed celebrating Father's day! Papa got a great charcoal grill and bbq set!

Grammy and Grampy are doing great! Grammy is getting ready for a 150 mile bike ride for M.S. down in San Antonio TX in October. It's amazing to see her preparing for such an amazing cause. And if anyone would like to sponsor her ride or just learn more about M.S. go here---> http://main.nationalmssociety.org/site/TR/Bike/TXHBikeEvents?pg=personal&fr_id=9356&fr_id=9356&px=5041534

Happy Easter

Happy Easter to all! This was the first Easter without all of our family! Myron's parents were at the very sad funeral of Myron seniors little brother Amp (Anthony) in Greenwood MISS. My parents went to Iowa to visit Elaine and the kids. We spent a very calm Easter Sunday together as a family. We went to service at Pikes Peak Christian Church. Then back home for photo ops. With his little basket, and together. We had a wonderful Easter dinner of pork chops, assparagus, mashed potatoes, salad and mango martinis. We had a wonderful Easter together celebrating the resurrection of our Lord!

March Madness (without all the b-ball)

Haven had his first big boy trip to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and boy did he have a good time. On March 1,2008 we journeyed to the zoo to enjoy an afternoon of animal fun. With the very generous free passes from Grammy and Grampy we spent several hours walking around in the warm sunshine looking at lions, monkeys, giraffes, and even the baby gorilla that was teasing all the adult gorillas by whacking them on the head and arms.

Haven is gettting to be such a big boy! Here he is spending time in his crib while Papa (aka paparazzi) continuously takes pics of his lil man!
Haven loves playing with his many toys...this is his little house
His bouncer, music maker and feet rattles...His own manly remote...
And his wee walker. We are sooooo blessed in so many ways...Daddy got a new job that should last at least a little while, Mommy is able to stay at home several days a week, but still works 1 or 2 times at one of the Widefield schools.
We get to spend precious time together that every mother dreams of very get to experience, I am proud to say I am a stay at home mom!
An Myron also knows our many blessings and is happy to get to spend his fun time with Haven too!
